Dig Into Nature at Drumlin Farm!
Enjoy a change of pace at Drumlin Farm, where you and your family can explore a real working farm and a wildlife sanctuary all in one day. There is so much to do at Drumlin Farm. Kids of all ages love visiting the animals on our farmyard, trying on their green thumbs in our learning garden, and riding on our hay wagon. Browse our wildlife exhibits or hike to the top of our drumlin, one of the highest points in the greater Boston area. Dig in deeper with our Discover Drumlin activities, free with admission, or sign up for our highly acclaimed farm and nature programs to learn even more about the nature of Massachusetts. Our free parking, family bathrooms, picnicking area, farm stand, and gift shop make your visit simple and relaxing.

This sanctuary has the following universally accessible facilities: Nature Center, Restrooms, Audubon Shop, Farm Loop Trail .

Nature Center/Trail Hours:
Drumlin Farm is open Tuesday-Sunday year-round, except Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Please note, we are closed on Mondays except on federal Monday holidays. Occasionally, we are closed to general visitation for special events.

Nature Center Hours:
March 1-October 31, Tuesday-Sunday and Monday holidays 9:00 am-5:00 pm
November 1-February 28, Tuesday-Sunday and Monday holidays 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Trails: Open only when the nature center is open.

The Audubon Shop at Drumlin Farm: open year round Tuesday-Sunday and Monday holidays,10:00 am-5:00 pm.
*Please note* that the Audubon Shop has different hours.

Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary has many buildings and areas that are fully accessible. We welcome people of all abilities. If you wish to bring your service animal to Drumlin Farm we ask that you please call 781-259-2200 at least 48 hours in advance so that we can assist you in planning an enjoyable and safe visit. Be sure to check in at our admissions window at the Nature Center upon arrival.

  • Stay on trails to avoid ticks and poison ivy
  • Do not smoke anywhere on the sanctuary
  • Do not pick or collect plants or crops without permission
Avoid Conflicts with Wildlife
  • Do not bring pets, leashed or unleashed, on to the site
  • Picnic only in designated areas
  • Do not bring motorized vehicles or bicycles onto the site
  • Hunting, fishing, or trapping are not permitted

Birthday Parties

Directions:

From the north and south: Take Rt I-95 north or south to exit 26 (Rt 20, Weston/Waltham). Follow signs for Rt 20 east. At the second traffic light, take a left and follow signs for Rt 117. At the next traffic light, take a left onto Rt 117 west. Follow Rt 117 west for 4.5 miles and the sanctuary is on the left.

From the east and west: Take Rt 2 east or west to Rt 126. Turn onto Rt 126 south (Walden Pond) and follow for 2.5 miles to the intersection of Rt 126 and Rt 117. Take a left onto Rt 117 east and the sanctuary is one mile ahead on the right.

By public transportation: Take the MBTA commuter rail to Lincoln Station. Walk south one block on Lincoln Road. Cross Codman Road and continue south on Lincoln Rd to the intersection with Rt 117. Cross Rt 117, turn left and enter Drumlin Farm through the wall onto the paved path that leads to the Nature Center.

Please Note:
Using GPS may direct you to Mass Audubon Headquarters offices which are across the street from Drumlin Farm and share the same address. Please look for the Drumlin Farm sign on the south side of Rt. 117.
