The Campaign for Drumlin Farm You Can Help Ensure Fifty More Years of Linking Land and People! Since 1955, Drumlin Farm has been connecting you and your family to nature, helping children and adults discover the beauty and promise of the living world. Today, Drumlin Farm's work is more important than ever as we strive to promote awareness of the interdependence of people, land and wildlife. You can help support this critical mission by donating to the Campaign for Drumlin Farm. The Campaign will guarantee a positive future for Drumlin Farm by improving exisiting facilities and adding new interpretive and educational elements to the site. With your help, we have already raised more than $3 million of our $3.2 million goal. Now, with less than $120,000 left to raise, our success absolutely depends on your support. Please help ensure that Drumlin Farm will be a vibrant, engaging destination for generations to come. Learn more about our campaign goals and accomplishments. Campaign Goals & Accomplishments - WELCOME AND ORIENT VISITORS Updating the admissions area to the farm will help visitors feel welcome and informed upon their arrival. The exciting Ogden Codman Trust challenge grant will help us accomplish this important goal. The Campaign has already funded an improved entry drive and parking area, which provide a safe, welcoming entry to the farm.
- IMPROVE THE FARMYARD BUILDINGS New accessible restrooms are being added to the Red Barn for the convenience of all visitors. Our beautiful new Pig Barn features more space for the animals, better viewing for our visitors, and adds a much-needed classroom for camp groups and visitor programs. The Poultry House has been transformed into an inviting, educational space that meets the needs of our chickens, farmers, visitors, and classes. Bird Hill has been entirely renovated with new enclosures for the resident wildlife; educational panels help visitors better enjoy and identify the resident bird species.
- ENHANCE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES New educational space will drastically improve our ability to offer varied and year-round programs. The Farm Life Center will be renovated to include a demonstration kitchen beside the core garden to teach classes about how food is grown and used. A boardwalk to the farmyard pond, and a floating platform will let us offer ponding classes, and interpretive displays will teach visitors about pond ecology and responsible wetlands management.
- PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATURE OF MASSACHUSETTS Interpretive signs are going in at key locations to enrich visitors' experiences and help promote understanding of Drumlin Farm. The Forest Discovery Trail through the red pine forest features fun, hands-on activities that encourage play and discovery in nature.
- PRESERVE THE FARM INTO THE FUTURE A robust Endowment Fund has been created with Campaign donations to ensure Drumlin Farm continues to thrive.
