Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary

Dig Into Nature at Drumlin Farm!
Enjoy a change of pace at Drumlin Farm, where you and your family can explore a real working farm and a wildlife sanctuary all in one day. There is so much to do at Drumlin Farm. Kids of all ages love visiting the animals on our farmyard, trying on their green thumbs in our learning garden, and riding on our hay wagon. Browse our wildlife exhibits or hike to the top of our drumlin, one of the highest points in the greater Boston area. Dig in deeper with our Discover Drumlin activities, free with admission, or sign up for our highly acclaimed farm and nature programs to learn even more about the nature of Massachusetts. Our free parking, family bathrooms, picnicking area, farm stand, and gift shop make your visit simple and relaxing. This sanctuary has the following universally accessible facilities: Nature Center, Restrooms, Audubon Shop.

Nature Center/Trail Hours:
Drumlin Farm is open Tuesday-Sunday year-round, except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Please note, we are closed on Mondays except on federal Monday holidays. Occasionally, we are closed to general visitation for special events.

Nature Center Hours: 9:00 am-5:00 pm March 1-October 31; 9:00 am-4:00 pm November 1-February 28. Trails: Open only when the nature center is open. Drumlin Farm is closed Mondays except on federal Monday holidays.

For Your Safety
  • Do not feed any animals, including farm animals
  • Stay on trails to avoid ticks and poison ivy
  • Do not smoke anywhere on the sanctuary
  • Do not pick or collect plants or crops without permission
Avoid Conflicts with Wildlife
  • Do not bring pets, leashed or unleashed, on to the site
  • Picnic only in designated areas
  • Do not bring motorized vehicles or bicycles onto the site
  • Hunting, fishing, or trapping are not permitted

Admission:
$6 for nonmember adults;
$4 for nonmember children (3-12) and seniors

Birthday Parties:
Drumlin Farm is now offering birthday parties! If you are looking for a space or an activity for your child’s birthday in a pastoral, low-key setting, Drumlin Farm is a great option! For more information, download our
birthday party brochure and reservation form.* Please note: Birthday parties can be scheduled during the school year, but not during the summertime.

Please Note Changes in Our Entryway and Parking!
In an effort to further enhance your visit, we have made improvements to our entryway and parking area. Work is now complete on our new entrance located 500 feet west of the old entrance on Route 117 (South Great Road). We hope you enjoy the view of the maple grove and drumlin as you drive in and the improved walkway to the admissions area!

From the north and south: Take Rt I-95 north or south to exit 26 (Rt 20, Weston/Waltham). Follow signs for Rt 20 east. At the second traffic light, take a left and follow signs for Rt 117. At the next traffic light, take a left onto Rt 117 west. Follow Rt 117 west for 4.5 miles and the sanctuary is on the left.

From the east and west: Take Rt 2 east or west to Rt 126 (Walden Pond, Framingham). Turn onto Rt 126 south (Walden Pond) and follow for 2.5 miles to the intersection of Rt 126 and Rt 117. Take a left onto Rt 117 east and the sanctuary is one mile ahead on the right.

By public transportation: Take the MBTA commuter rail to Lincoln Station. Walk south one block on Lincoln Road. Cross Codman Road and continue south on Lincoln Rd to the intersection with Rt 117. Cross Rt 117, turn left and enter Drumlin Farm through the wall onto the grass path.
