Green Power at the Boston Nature Center

The spotlight shines on the Boston Nature Center during a four-minute segment that aired on an episode of Your World: Bringing it Home, a series on The Needham Channel. Julie Brandlen, director of the Boston Nature Center, takes Producer Allison Hume on a tour of the George Robert White Environmental Conservation Center, one of Boston’s greenest buildings and home to the nature center.

The building employs a number of strategies to minimize its environmental impact, including 230 photovoltaic roof shingles, more than 40 solar ground arrays, a solar hot water system, a geothermal heating and cooling system, recycled materials, and water-saving fixtures.
