Programs for Schools and Children/Young Adult Groups
At Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, we offer a multitude of fun and educational nature-based programs year round for preschool through college. Located in the beautiful Pioneer Valley at the base of the Holyoke range, Arcadia has over 755 acres of floodplain and upland forest, vernal pools, riparian habitat, and grasslands, all home to a wide variety of wildlife and plant life. Programs can be scheduled both on site and off, weekdays, evenings, as well as weekends. Programs may also be scheduled at our Laughing Brook site in Hampden.

Schools
School groups may choose from a variety of options such as sanctuary or schoolyard explorations, classroom visits, or multi-session programs. Our outdoor programs maintain a small staff-to-student ratio for ideal learning. Programs are aligned with the Massachusetts Department of Education frameworks with strands in Life Science, Earth Science, History, and/or Geography. Math-learning standards are included in many programs. Whether the program takes place at your site or ours, we will work with you to develop a curriculum that meets your needs.
