Management on Mass Audubon Sanctuaries

Mass Audubon has implemented invasive species control projects on many of its sanctuaries. In accordance with our invasive species management strategy, our invasive species control work is targeted toward early detection and rapid response. Projects are implemented using an adaptive management approach, in which we seek to learn from the management process and adapt our approach based on what we have learned. Management projects typically include monitoring that records conditions prior to management, tracks progress toward achieving management goals, and provides information that can be used to improve future invasives species control efforts.
