The Invasive Plant Ecology Curriculum focuses on several invaders you most likely have seen in your city. This resource focuses on some top invaders found on our roadsides and wetlands. Many thanks to funding from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Nature of Learning Program.

PowerPoint presentations, Web-quests, lesson plans, and on-line mapping tools help bring this topic to life. If you live on the North Shore and want to get your students actively involved in invasive study and control, contact Liz Duff at lduff@massaudubon.org.

Who might find this curriculum useful?

This curriculum is useful to teachers who would like some simple, effective hands-on, inquiry based activities for exploring the topic of invasive species and helping students develop an attitude of stewardship and community service in their classrooms. The curriculum is also useful to informal educators who may work with other audiences such as camps, after-school groups or home-school students.
