Part-time

Audubon Teacher
Location: Norfolk, MA

Part-time position leading small groups of children and adults during pre-designed school, sanctuary, and outreach programs. Training and support is provided. Schedule is irregular but flexible, typically Monday-Friday, mostly mornings, some afternoons and evenings, Saturday hours possible once thoroughly trained. Peak season is April-June.

Qualifications: Have interest and general knowledge of natural history and/or education. (Previous experience working with children in school or similar setting or training in natural history a plus.) Be able to hike on unimproved terrain. Certification in Red Cross Community CPR and First Aid a plus, sense of humor, flexibility, and willingness to learn preferred.

Volunteering with Mass Audubon
Stony Brook offers a variety of exciting volunteer opportunities and internships for people of all interests and experience levels. Volunteers are valued members of the Mass Audubon team and provide an important link to our local communities. Volunteer

Admission & Gift Shop Volunteers
Location: Norfolk, MA

This volunteer position involves answering the phones, greeting visitors, registering people for programs, assisting in the nature shop, and helping with various office projects. Three or four hour shifts available weekly or bi-weekly. Flexible schedules. Training is provided.

Qualifications: Spring and summer are busy times and volunteers are crucial during these months. If you enjoy working with the public, have a pleasant and professional manner, and want to become a part of a wonderful group of people all working to help protect the nature of Massachusetts, call us today.
