Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary Day Camp

Upcoming Camp Programs

Nothing captures a child like discovery....

Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary is 2,265 acres of wetlands, sunny meadows, forests, and the Ipswich River. It is home to salamanders, frogs, and meadow voles. The many different habitats here attract numerous species of birds and mammals.

Our Day Camps Provide:

  • A safe environment where children can learn firsthand about the natural world, meet new friends and have fun.
  • Trained, qualified staff that provide children with an enjoyable, educational, and noncompetitive camp experience.
  • Small group nature study, environmental crafts, and cooperative games.
  • An experience that will last a lifetime.

Day Camp at Essex County Greenbelt Association’s Cox Reservation, Essex
Come explore a salt marsh that is home to egrets, herons, mummichogs, pickle plants and hermit crabs. A program highlight is a day spent exploring Choate Island, where we will hike and investigate seashore life. Give your child the opportunity to discover the wonders of a salt marsh with experienced adult staff.

Day Camp at the Shore Lea Nature Center, Marblehead
Come explore the forest, field, pond, and coastal communities located within walking distance of the Shore Lea Nature Center. Hike the Wyman Woods trails, observe turtles in Hawthorn Pond, and search for herons, egrets, and more at Forest River. Give your child the opportunity to discover these wonderful places with experienced adult staff.
