Programs for Schools and Children/Young Adult Groups

At Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary in Worcester, we offer a variety of fun and educational nature-based programs year round for students of all ages. Here, you can explore over 400 acres of woods, fields, streams, and marsh and look for 78 different species of butterflies, prowl for owls, and learn more about the Blackstone River Valley. Or, we can bring our nature-based programs to your school or facility.

A sampling of our program topics:

  • Adaptations of Life Cycles
  • Introduction to Birding
  • Nature Walks
  • Ponding/Streaming
  • Habitat Exploration
  • Nature Detective

** Mass Audubon is always looking for new ways to connect people and nature, and our new School Program Catalog is just one example of how we hope to accomplish that goal. Broad Meadow Brook is one of the first Mass Audubon sites to be included in this School Program Catalog and we hope to have all of our wildlife sanctuaries in the catalog soon.
