Be part of the race by adopting your ducks to support Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary
The Race
Race time is August 14, 2010, at 10:30am.* The ducks will paddle on the incoming tide from Buzzards Bay into Allens Pond. The Grand Prize winner will be called at approximately 1:30pm during winner announcements at the post-race festival. You don't have to be present to win.
*Spectators must convene promptly at 9:30am at the Allens Pond field station located at 1280 Horseneck Rd. Westport, MA for the 45 minute guided walk to the race site. Because the race site is located near sensitive bird habitat, space is limited to the first 40 people who pre-register by calling the Sanctuary at (508) 636-2437. We cannot guarantee an opening for the walk on race day.
Race Festival
Join the fun on race day: bring the whole family. The event will be held from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the Sanctuary by the Field Station, 1280 Horseneck Road, Westport, MA and will include the race broadcast, food, children's art exhibit, games, crafts, silent auction and displays about the Sanctuary's wildlife activities.
