Reporting Bird Sightings to Mass Audubon

Citizen reports from backyards, feeders, highways and conservation areas across the state are important to Mass Audubon's efforts to learn more about the populations, distributions and breeding activities of the birds of Massachusetts. You can help us by submitting observations from your locale with one of the tools below.

Birds We Are Watching
Mass Audubon's Birds to Watch program aims to identify populations of declining bird species in Massachusetts. Help us better understand and reverse the causes of their decreasing numbers by reporting sightings of the following birds:

Breeding Bird Atlas
Mass Audubon and hundreds of Atlasers are now collecting data for the Massachusetts Breeding Bird Atlas 2. You can assist this effort by submitting reports of breeding birds in your area. The information you contribute will be used to guide Atlasers in their search for breeding birds across the Commonwealth.

What Else Are You Seeing?
To submit other bird sightings, you can:

Check the Voice of Audubon for reports of recent sightings. Have a question about something you've seen? Ask the Wildlife Expert.
